The Wisconsin Association for Floodplain, Stormwater, and Coastal Management (WAFSCM) will hold its 23rd Annual Conference on Wednesday, October 15th and Thursday, October 16th at the Lismore Hotel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Professional Development Hours (PDHs) and Continuing Education Credits (CECs) can be earned at the main conference on Wednesday and Thursday. A field tour, workshops and a social reception will be held on Wednesday, and the main conference including plenary and speaker sessions throughout the day on Thursday. Conference dues include 2026/2027 WAFSCM Membership. NOTE: An additional late registration fee of $75 applies if signing up after October 1, 2025.
Guest registration ($100) is for guests of full conference attendees. It allows the guest to attend all meals and the opening night reception. It does not include attendance at the workshops, tour, breakout sessions, nor does it allow WAFSCM membership or CEU’s. Free Guest registration as part of the Sponsor Registration (Gold or Silver) includes all benefits of full paid registration.
The Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) exam is NOT planned to be conducted at the conference this year, but rather is being offered online by ASFPM. See the Floodplain Manager Certification page for more information.
As always, the conference will offer a great experience with a dynamic group of professionals coming to share their experience in a variety of water‐related issues from all sectors: local government leaders, community administrators, planning agencies, public works departments, developers, consultants, environmental groups, state and federal agencies and students.
UPDATE: HOTEL IS NOW FULL AND NO MORE ROOMS AVAILABLE -- A block of hotel rooms has been established at the Lismore Hotel for conference attendees. This block will be held until Tuesday, September 30th. The block can be found at the federal rate of $107 under this link; however, there are a limited number of rooms being held at a rate of $98 per night for state employees. In order to make a reservation at the state rate, state employees will need to make a reservation via phone. Onsite parking will be available at a rate of $7 per night.
